Challenge #252--5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Hello Friends!!

Julia here and this weeks it's a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 challenge, what that means is we are going to use

5 heart embellishments,
4 colors of paper,
3 photos,
2 patterns of paper,
1 metal embellishment

Yes, I did take a little liberty with the challenge this week and actually used 9 pattern papers and 6 colors, but other than that I stuck with the directions. If you would like to see close ups of my layout head over to my blog to check it out. But hey don't worry if your don't stick with the directions exactly...it's all about using your stuff, so have fun and share your project below.

Design Team Call

Hey Everyone!

As you know, our lovely ladies Shirley, Martha and Janis are leaving us, as will Haven and Amy at the end of the term,  so have 5 spots open on our DT!

Here's what you need to know~

You don't have to have DT experience!  Newbies are always welcome!  You can be a scrapbooker, mixed media artist, ATC creator, card maker, bible journaler, project lifer, or anything in between....if you love to create and can make our challenges work within your medium then please apply!

We do need you to have a blog or FB page where you can highlight our challenges to others!  Our whole purpose is to motivate and inspire others so we want to get the word out there!  We need you to be a FB member as our communication, challenges, etc are discussed in a FB group.

Your DT term would be from April until September with the option to return for a following term creating a minimum of 2 projects a month (ever other week)!  You will also be hosting a challenge about once or twice a term depending on the rotation.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in then please email me at tampatha01@gmail.com with the subject line UYS DT Call.   Be sure to include a little blurb about yourself and your crafting as well as a link to your work or some examples!

The DT call will be open until Feb 28th and I will announce the newest members on March 3rd.

Good luck and we hope to hear from you soon.

Challenge #251--B I N G O

Welcome to another fun challenge!  I, Tammy am hosting for you this week and I thought it might be fun to play a bit of Bingo as we scrap.  So my challenge is to use the BINGO card below as you create your project....you need to use any line horizontal, vertical or diagonal or you can use the 4 corners! Be sure to tell us which line you used in your project!

For my card, I used  a horizontal line of red, die cuts or cutouts, hearts and doily...I went with a Valentine's day card for this one!

The doily is recollections and the die cuts are from also Recollections I believe.  I used a foam heart from the $$ store as well as some gold glitter paper from Recollections for the little hearts.  I hope you like it and will play along with us! The DP is from the American Crafts XOXO collection

Hello friends!! My bingo inspiration included enamel dots, bling, the color pink and stamping. The stamping I had planned didn't work on this layout so I go a little creative and added a little mixed media to the background. For more information and close ups head over to my blog to check it out.

Gail

Here's my card.  I used the line that included: pearls; enamel dots; red; and journal cards.  For more information and a product list, check out my BLOG.

I used a doily, hearts, diecuts and the color red. I hope you like it.

The 3rd row "Red, diecuts, hearts, and a doily" were perfect accents for my page featuring this pic of my adorable teenage parents in the 1960's.

Tina
I used the bottom row: Journal Card (2), wood veneer (2 hearts and an arrow), Ribbon (used up that blue ribbon) Embossing (dry embossing on the circles)

I used the second column: white, bling/sparkle (gold foil), die cuts, and wood veneer.
There is a process video to go with this layout up on my channel as well if you are interested.

Challenge #250 - Love is in the Air!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Tammy C. here ...  It is my pleasure to choose the challenge for this week's challenge.
Love is in the air with Valentine's Day just around the corner. This week we would like to challenge you to add hearts to your project in some way.  It can be cards, layouts, canvas, etc. Add hearts by die-cuts, shaped photos, use a stencil on your backgrounds... whatever your creative mind comes up with.

This week I have a card to share with you using Colorburst Powders and Nuvo Glimmer paste.  Hop on over to my blog for the video tutorial and all the details!

I made a gift box with three embossing heart dies. The cardstock black&white was colored by me with watercolor,  letting it stain freely. So each heart has different color tones.

A Valentine's Day card for hubby:

Hello Friends! I chose to make a layout of one of my grandee's this week, it may be a little hard to tell but there are 3 different hearts on this layout, 2 in the upper right corner and one on the left lower corner of the photo. I do have close-ups over on my blog so if your interested head over there to check them out.

I created a birthday card with Darkroom Door stamps and added a little heart for fun :)
I also added some Perfect Pearls to make the tulips shimmer a little bit.

I come across some pictures of my Brother's wedding day, thought they needed to be scrapped and added to our albums. A few hearts on this layout.

Amanda
I did this layout of my husband with our doggies and added a
couple hearts with some doodled stitching.

Renee

For my project, I used gold texture paste to make a heart background on a Valentine's day card.

I made this fun card using my Cricut Design Space

Can't wait to see your works of art!
